Patricia McComb recently moved to Tucson after over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and New Mexico. She worked as a therapist in non-profit agency settings including residential treatment for seriously emotionally disturbed youth, outpatient treatment for adults, families, and couples, and in community health centers treating adults with complicated health and mental health concerns. She was inspired to become a psychotherapist after working as an Americorps volunteer as a mediator in victim/offender mediation and parent/teen mediation in rural New Mexico. She received a BA from the University of Massachusetts, an MS in Philosophy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University.
Patricia has worked with adolescents and adults in individual, group, and relationship therapy from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She employs cognitive behavioral therapy, grief and loss counseling, trauma treatment, mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and other treatments to focus on healing and increased self-understanding and acceptance. Her clinical experience includes providing treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parenting, addiction, serious mental health concerns, and health concerns such as sleep problems and pain management. She believes that each person has a unique life story and that therapy is a collaboration between the person seeking help and the therapist. She assists each individual to focus on all aspects in his/her life that can increase healing and balance including spiritual beliefs, physical and emotional health, increased coping skills, connection to others, communication, and self-awareness.
Audrey is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Arizona. She graduated from the University of New Mexico, and completed her internship with Dr. Alya Reeve in the UNM Neuropsychiatric clinic and epilepsy clinic. She is a certified clinical trauma professional through IATP, and is also a certified hypnotherapist through the International Board of Hypnotherapy. Additionally, she is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a member of the American Counseling Association, and is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. She has worked in several clinical capacities, focusing on chronic medical and mental health conditions, trauma, individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and hypnotherapy.
Dr. Malofeeva, Clinical Director, Psychologist
Elena Malofeeva, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Arizona. Following undergraduate/graduate studies in Psychology/English/German in Russia, Dr. Malofeeva earned her Ph.D. in American Psychological Association accredited program of Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology with minor degree in Quantitative Psychology, all from the University of Notre Dame. She completed her American Psychological Association-approved internship placement at the University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services. She was a top student in all of her academic pursuits, graduating Magna Cum Laude and having obtained a score in the top 5% range on the licensing exam. Dr.Malofeeva is fully bilingual: she speaks both English and Russian.
Dr. Malofeeva has over 15 years of experience in the practice of psychology in counseling/psychotherapy, assessment, evaluation, school consultation, and training. Dr. Malofeeva worked in such settings as community mental health, university counseling centers, school consultant, office of alcohol and drug education, non-profit organizations, homeless shelter, universities, and private sector.
She is very active in the research community and as an advocate for children, families, and various adult groups. She is the Secretary for the Governing Board of the Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children (www.azaeyc.net) and a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
A native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire Rahul is a licensed marriage and family therapist in New Hampshire and Arizona. He graduated with Bachelor’s degree from Whittier College in Whittier, California and has my Master’s Degree in Family Studies with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. As a clinician, he worked with community mental health organizations in a variety of settings and co-facilitated group therapy utilizing meditation and mindfulness practice. Rahul is currently a Clinical Fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He also serves on the Board of the Greengard Center for Autism in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Working with clients since 2008, he has tailored his therapeutic approached to meet the needs of clients individually as opposed to a blanket approach. He has had extensive training in Dialectal Behavior Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that helps in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. He also employs solution-focused therapy as well as strategic brief therapy.
When working with couples, Rahul's goal is to help people reconnect. He uses many different types of evidenced-based practices, especially Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, that helps strengthen existing bonds between people by getting to the root cause of conflict in order to help resolve even the most entrenched disagreements.
