Dr. Stella Román Santos, Ph.D.
My name is Dr. Stella Román Santos. I am a clinical psychologist, originally from Puerto Rico. I moved to the mainland USA in 2015. Work opportunities brought me to the state of Arizona in 2018. I have been licensed and practicing psychology since 2013. I work with children, teens, adults, women, men, transsexual people; heterosexual, homosexual, intersexual, bisexual, transgender, questioning, asexual, Spanish speaking, English speaking, other languages; various nationalities, countries of origin, and ethnicities; people with different degrees of physical disabilities.
I know of the importance of helping people heal their past experiences, with compassion and guidance along their personal journey. Some of the treatment modalities I work with are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma focused interventions, integrative approach, couples therapy, group therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, among others. I want to empower you, heal the mind/body, give support and encouragement, while helping you learn strategies and techniques. Main objective is to help ease pain (physical, cognitive, emotional) and help you have a higher quality of life.
Open communication is key to the good process of therapy; since knowing what is on your mind helps solve the puzzle. I welcome you to the road towards a good mental well-being. I thank you for being courageous and making the first step towards healing.
